C.B Circuit Breaker

Gas-Insulated Circuit Breakers (GI C.B.), Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), Oil-Insulated Circuit Breakers, and Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB) are the primary switches in an electrical power system. To ensure grid protection and system reliability, multiple tests are performed on these circuit breakers on-site during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance, including the following:

VT - Voltage Transformer Test

A Voltage Transformer (VT) is a key instrument for metering, protection, and isolation in the electrical system. To ensure reliability and compliance, a series of on-site tests are performed on VTs during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance, including the following:

Earth System Test

The earth system is the first line of protection for humans and electrical equipment. During project design, soil resistivity measurements are performed to calculate fault currents and define earth system specifications. Our company has tested earth systems on many projects using advanced methods, including the Bird’s Eye Method and the 62% Method.

CT - Current Trasnformer

Current Transformers (CT), used alongside Voltage Transformers (VT), are key instruments for metering, protection, and isolation in the electrical system. Secondary Testing

Secondary testing is a critical procedure for protective devices—such as protection relays, metering relays, transducers, AVR relays, and PLCs—conducted directly on the devices without using CTs, VTs, or other instruments.

Advanced Test

RAWAFED AL-KHOR COMPANY provides extensive experience, technical expertise, and advanced equipment for third-party engineering, electrical equipment testing, and quality assurance/quality control services.

Advanced Secondary Test

The Omicron CMC356 and CMC256, along with the Secondary Injection Kit, are used for testing distance relays, advanced differential relays, and generator protection relays. This secondary injection kit is one of the best tools for testing advanced relays, offering the capability to work with GOOSE-enabled grids.

Advanced Primary Test

The Omicron CPC 100 and its Primary Injection Kit accessories are used for testing the primary side of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, and circuit breakers.

Our company also offers additional inspection methods, including online partial discharge testing and earth system assessments.
